Anna has most recently taught technique classes in NYC through Skewl, and composition and improvisation at Dance Initiative in Carbondale, CO. Sperber was a co-founder of classclassclass, designed to nurture new dance teachers while offering reduced class rates, and has taught as a guest artist at American Dance Festival, Movement Research, Freeskewl, Gibney Dance, Hunter College, George Washington University, and Wayne State University. Sperber founded and ran BRAZIL, a studio and intimate performance space in Bushwick, Brooklyn from 2004 to 2014 and Sunset Space from 2019-2020 where she held weekly class series.

Technique Class -

Class will begin with a grounding warm up finding space, ease, and support thorough the energetic and anatomical pathways in our bodies. Incorporating practices, simple improvisational structures and building on choreographic material, we will work with attention to presence, intentions of initiation, relationship to weight / gravity and expanse in our dancing.
