ANNA SPERBER AUDITION NOTICE

Anna Sperber is seeking dancers for the creation of a new work who are :

• Performers with deeply investigated dance/ movement skills who are interested in working with improvisation, set material and conversation.  

• Interested in experimentation, and in exploring a range of qualities.

• Mature, team players, open to working in a supportive, collaborative process. 

• Interested and available to engage in a weekly process in Brooklyn/ NYC, and possible out of town residency periods. Must commit through the NYC premiere in Spring 2025 and a tour in Summer 2025.

Compensation is a minimum of $20/hr rehearsal plus paid performances. Rehearsal weeks 12-20 hrs/week.

Step 1: Complete an online submission by February 6th, 2024 that includes the following: 

• Photo (for identification purpose only)

• CV or resume

• Professional reference

• One 3 minute video of documentation of a past performance (please include credit of choreographer, venue and date). 

• One recent (within the past year) 3 minute video of you improvising.

If your three minute selection is part of a longer video please include the time code. All videos must be submitted as a viewable link such as Vimeo or Youtube and not as a downloadable file.

Step 2: Notifications for those invited to an in-person audition process will go out by February 16th. Callbacks will be Mon/Tues/Fri between 10am-5pm the following two weeks.
